As a Manager of Environmental Services you will :
- Establish and review standards and work procedures for all housekeeping staff in accordance with established policies and practices of the facility.
- Plan work schedules, hours, areas of work, and job duties to ensure adequate housekeeping services are rendered to all areas.
- Interview, select, hire, evaluate, and recommend termination of facility housekeeping personnel in accordance with facility standards.
- Orient, train, and supervise all housekeeping staff.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and communicate with members of other departments to coordinate housekeeping activities.
- Schedule major project work, assuring that adequate staff and supplies are available.
- Conduct regular inventory of housekeeping supplies.
- Assist unit director with budget.
- Coordinate services (e.g., Pest Control, Window Cleaning, Medical and Solid Waste, Document Destruction, and Recycling program).
Qualifications include :
- Associate’s degree with 3 years of environmental services experience and 2 years of environmental / hospitality management experience in a health care environment required.
- OR Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of environmental services experience and 1 year of environmental / hospitality management experience in a health care environment preferred.
- Knowledge of general housekeeping procedures.
- Ability to give instructions and apply basic management principles.
- Ability to utilize a participative approach to managing staff.
- Strong work ethic, intensive drive, initiative for quality and customer service.
Work Schedule :
Monday-Friday. Must be able to work every other weekend.
