Join Trane as an Electrical Designer II in La Crosse, Wisconsin ! As an Electrical Designer, you will be responsible for designing the control and power electrical systems within Trane’s Arctic product line.

This role will include new product development as well as design-to-order electrical schematics and modeling. This is a great opportunity if you like to see your design carried out through product build!

This position is eligible for a Hybrid work schedule (3 or more days onsite a week) and will be based out of our La Crosse, WI location.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Produces designs and documentation utilizing computer design and product life cycle management systems.
  • Documentation of parts and bills of materials.
  • Develop a good working knowledge and familiarity of design and drafting standard practices, methods, and processes.
  • Work from oral engineering instructions or written procedures, schematics, drawings, and sketches.
  • Ability to lead small segments of large projects with responsibility for completion of assignments. Exercise sound judgment in recognition of potential design problems.

Detects and corrects own errors.

  • Maintains competency level of computer aided graphic system and other applications through company provided training and materials.
  • May direct and coordinate work activity of junior personnel or provide administrative assistance.
  • May be required to travel to various locations to support products or train other personnel. Anticipated travel time 5%.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Design from an accredited technical school; a recommended two (2) years of design experience or five (5) years of Trane or Climate Solutions practical experience.
  • Understands basic principles of designing equipment, drafting, and computer aided design and applies principles to assigned tasks.
  • Working knowledge of computer aided graphic system.
  • 3D Electrical harness design experience preferred.
  • Electrical Schematic understanding preferred.
  • PTC Creo skillset preferred.

Base Pay Range : $46,000 $64,600 / year
