The ideal Driver / Counselor Assistant at our program located in Albany, NY will be primarily responsible for transporting clients in a company vehicle.
This candidate needs to be compassionate and have the ability to follow health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently.
This candidate MUST possess a valid / clean NY State driver's license.
Shift : Full-Time (Monday through Friday 8am to 4pm)
Position Reports to : Program Manager
Job Status : Non-Exempt / Hourly
Compensation : up to $18.39 per hour
Job Duties Include :
The main responsibility of this position is transporting clients to and from appointments, meetings, recreational activities, etc.
The drive may also assist with driving at other Hope House programs on an as-needed basis.
Other Job duties include :
Providing crisis intervention when needed.
Ensuring the safety of clients who we serve.
Assisting with daily activities and maintaining program structure.
Communicating with co-workers to ensure that all staff are meeting the needs of the clients.

Requirements
High School Diploma / GED required.
Experience in human services (especially substance use disorder) is preferred.
Must have clean, valid New York State Driver's License and ability to meet insurance requirements.
