Reporting to the Sr. Manager, User Experience Design, the UX Designer supports a high performing UX Design team by contributing to an open and collaborative culture based on trust.
The UX Designer works towards clear expectations and goals set by the Sr. Manager, UX Design, contributing to the team’s success.
The UX Designer supports the strategy and delivery of UX Design commitments, focusing on effective design collaboration to deliver exceptional user experiences for the business.
Essential Functions (not limited to) :
Contributes to a high performing UX Design team, supporting various design activities and initiatives
Creates designs based on insights and Product direction to support the UX team and the business efficiently
Supports the execution of design strategies to improve user experience and overall product performance
Supports an open and collaborative culture within the UX Design team
Works towards clear expectations and goals set for UX Designers to achieve exceptional user experiences
Delivers high-quality design solutions with a clear focus on user needs and UX design best practices
Maintains an accurate and current understanding of active UX design projects while managing own design workload
Executes design projects of varying complexity
Utilizes design processes, tools, and techniques aligned with industry best practices and innovative approaches
Executes high-quality designs in modern, standard design tools such as Figma, Sketch, UXPin , Penpot , and Axure
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate design solutions into the product development lifecycle
Advocates for user-centered design principles within the organization
Conducts all design activities ethically and in compliance with accessibility standards
Successfully reports on the progress and impact of UX design initiatives
Aligns design goals with business objectives and product strategy
Supports efforts to innovate and improve UX design methodologies and practices
Maintains design documentation and repositories for organizational visibility and project transparency
Ensures clear communication and understanding of design solutions across stakeholders and the business
Represents the UX Design team in UX Organization cross-portfolio collaboration .
Supports a culture of learning and improvement within the UX design practice
Required Qualification and Attributes :
Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) or related field
5+ years of experience in UX Design, with strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user research, interaction design, and visual design
Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar
Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
Experience with responsive and adaptive design
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Proven leadership and mentorship capabilities
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications :
Master's or other graduate degree in related field
Advanced UX Certifications
Strong knowledge of HTML / CSS; JavaScript
Proficiency with usability testing tools and methods (i.e. : UsabilityHub, UserTesting)
Experience working in Agile development environments and with design systems
SaaS or Automotive Industry
Base Salary Ranges : $87,000 - $102,500
CDK Global is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Compensation packages are based on several factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, certifications, and work location.
The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, benefits and / or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
