About the Job We are seeking an experienced and strategic VP of Accounting & Finance to oversee and manage the company's accounting operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in our financial processes.

The Manager of Accounting will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial statements and supporting the company's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities : Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.

Support the Executive Team with strategic financial planning and decision-making. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the company's financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to improve efficiency and ensure compliance.

Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and financial analysis. Assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements, budgets, forecasts, cash flow models, and variance analysis.

Coordinate and support external audits and tax filings. Assist in leading and mentoring the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.

Collaborate with other departments to support business operations and provide financial insights and recommendations. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting function to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Managing and reconciliation multiple credit card vendors.

About You : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred. At least 3 years in a managerial role.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements. Experience in the retail industry is highly preferred. Proficiency in accounting software (Intacct) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Excellent leadership and team management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing best practices. Sage Intacct and / or NetSuite, bill.
