We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for an experienced Chief Operations Officer to lead and enhance the operations of a respected law firm in Los Angeles.
In this role, you will play a vital part in guiding the firm's strategic and operational initiatives, ensuring that our day-to-day operations run smoothly and effectively.
Reporting directly to the Managing Partners, you will be instrumental in optimizing our processes, supporting high standards of client service, and driving overall firm success.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the firm’s daily operations, including case management, client relations, and administrative functions.
- Partner with the Managing Partners and executive team to craft and execute long-term strategies and growth plans.
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations.
- Handle budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation to maintain the firm's financial health and profitability.
- Lead HR initiatives, including recruitment, staff retention, professional development, and performance management.
- Ensure all operations meet legal and ethical standards, mitigating potential risks.
- Utilize technology to streamline operations, improve case management, and boost client service.
- Support our commitment to exceptional client service by aligning operational practices with this goal.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of executive-level experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a COO or similar role within a legal environment, ideally with a focus on personal injury law.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field. An MBA or JD is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership in a law firm or professional services setting, with experience managing large teams and complex operations.
- Strong strategic planning and execution abilities, with a proven track record of driving growth and operational efficiency.
- In-depth knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and resource allocation in a legal context.
- Proficiency with legal technology solutions and case management software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with attorneys, staff, and clients.
- Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to identifying and solving operational challenges.
