The Virginia Department of SocialServices (DSS)Information Technology Department (ITD) is seeking anexperienced Dynamics 365 / Power Platform Architect and SubjectMatter Expert (SME) to lead the development and implementation of agovernance strategy and framework for all DSS Dynamics 365 andPower Platform solutions within the single Commonwealth of Virginia(COV) tenant shared with over 60 independent executivebranches.

This individual will be the PowerPlatform technical liaison between DSS stakeholders DSS IT DSSvendors and the Virginia Information Technology Agency (VITA).

Thisresource will be responsible for understanding the Power Platformenvironments strategy designed by VITA and ensure DSS vendors andcitizen developers comply with the DSS governancestrategy.

Furthermore the SME / Platform Architectwill provide technology guidance road maps principles standards andbest practices.

Responsibilities

Work with business stakeholders vendors and engineeringteams to implement a technical architecture governance frameworkand best practices to develop efficient solutions productcapabilities and repeatable processes.

Act asprimary platform architect and technical lead for Dynamics 365 andM365 Power Platform suite (Power Pages Power Apps Power AutomatePower BI Power Virtual Agents)

Work on highlycomplex projects and turnkey solutions that require indepthknowledge across multiple specialized architecture domainsincluding Azure IaaS Microsoft Entra ID Azure DevOps Okta Identitymanagement azure storage accounts and Azure appregistrations.

Analyze 3rdparty products todocument overall solution and system architectures andidentity / permissions security models.

Contributeto the Product features roadmaps and to DSSs Power PlatformCommunity of Practice (CoP models)

Ensurehighquality platform deliverables in accordance with the platformroadmap and capabilities

Define deliverydocumentation including best practices design build and operationsguides as well as the management processes and procedures

Lead efforts in defining documenting and estimating thefollowing for enterprise applications.

Design / Implement Enterprise Security / technologyPatterns

Align architecture strategy withbusiness goals.

Develop and communicatearchitectural policies standards guidelines andprocedures.

Promote the governance frameworkoutcomes and results to the organization and seniorleadership.

Review and / or analyze and developarchitectural requirements as needed for theorganization.

Ensure the conceptual completenessof the technical solutions.

Review existingbusiness processes and establishes metrics to improve businessprocesses as well as support of all architectural disciplines undertheir direction.

Tackle complex and ambiguousproblems that span numerous systems and organizations

Collaborate with project management and IT leaders toensure progress towards architectural alignment with project goalsand requirements.

Resolve conflict productivelyacross teams

Requirements

5 years indepth knowledge and experience withDynamics 365 Microsoft Power Platform Power BI Power Pages PowerApps and Power Automate.

10 years experiencewith cloud and hybrid onpremises infrastructures architecturedesigns industry standards and / or technology management.

15 years of experience in technology industry and ITconsulting services.

Experience managingendtoend product deployment from concept development and successfullaunch.

Experience leading programs with fullcustomer journey impact covering program planning risk assessmentcost and delivery.

Proven Experience in managingdelivery of services / products related to M365 and MS technologyin a GCC environment

Proven ability to createproduct roadmap best practices development and deployment standardsfor M365 and its products

Demonstratedcommunication and influencing skills at all levels of theorganization and across technical and nontechnical teams

BS / MS in Computer Science Computer Engineering &Process Automation
