Description
General Statement of Duties :
This role will gather, distribute, and facilitate the flow of materials between multiple manufacturing operation departments.
Load and unload product from freight trucks. Possesses clear understanding of safety requirements and procedures while operating a forklift, pallet jack, reach lift and / or box truck.
Examines the production needs and moves material based on manufacturing demands. Provide a high quality of customer service to maintain an effective and efficient work environment.
Handel deliveries, work orders and customer shipment with the utmost care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Pick, verify, and ship customer orders
- Monitor and record stock inventory levels and report inventory variances
- Load and unload Freight trucks
- Build pallets following IMI's guidelines and procedures
- Analyze inventory requirements with Warehouse Manager and process purchase order requests for general and BOM related inventory
- Work autonomously throughout the day with minimal supervision
- Completes tasks in timely and professional manner
Requirements
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 2+ yr. Experience in warehouse job function
- Forklift certification or demonstrate experience in operating a forklift
- Basic computer knowledge
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills, focus on details
- Valid driver's license
- Performs well under pressure and able to handle multiple projects at one time
- Positive and professional with all internal and external customers
- Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills
- Works well in team environment, good interpersonal skills
- Demonstrates initiative and self-motivation
Preferred Job Qualifications :
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing environment
- Bilingual (Spanish / English)
- Lean Six Sigma knowledge
Physical Demands :
- Occasionally required to lift and / or carry loads of up-to 50 lbs
- Able to sit, stand, bend, reach and / or walk for long period of time
- Use good judgement and follow procedures
- Work in high temperature work environment (non-air-conditioned warehouse)
- Work under stress in a fast-paced environment
