Biomedical Equipment Technician
Job Description
A customer-facing Field Service Technician role that primarily travels to customer sites to maintain, troubleshoot, service, and provide support for all healthcare and life sciences equipment.
Field Service Technicians will also be responsible for building positive relationships with customers and peers, as well as completing necessary administrative tasks.
The ideal candidate is an independent go-getter who is mechanically inclined and makes customer satisfaction and safety their top two priorities.
The Field Service Technician (FST) will provide on-site technical support for industrial washing, sterilization, and surgical equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, equipment modifications, and installation support.
$33 - $41 per hour
Shift
M-F : 7 : 30am - 4 : 30pm
Hard Skills
- Troubleshoot, repair, modify, and rebuild / refurbish industrial washing, sterilization, and surgical equipment and system components.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on various types of equipment from multiple manufacturers including sterilizers, instrument washers, tunnel washers, cart washers, blanket warmers, steam generators, surgical tables, surgical lights, and other equipment.
- Utilize technology (laptop computer and related software) to perform administrative duties, plan schedules, complete service call reports, and maintain tool and parts inventory levels.
- Increase company growth by identifying sales opportunities and recommending appropriate products and services.
Work Environment
Traveling around the greater Indianapolis area to hospitals and outpatient centers, including locations as far as Bloomington and Fort Wayne.
Will return home daily. Must be willing and able to work within a medical setting to support doctors and physicians.
