Tesani Companies, LLC ( Tesani ) and its subsidiaries is seeking a passionate and business savvy individual to be a part of our accounting function.

Tesani is a holding company founded in 2013. We own and operate

• Eddy HR a software company on a mission to help small businesses with their human resources function;
• Lift Credit a financial services company, giving customers access to competitively priced credit;
• Sunshine Heroes Foundation a private foundation focused on improving the lives of children and their families around the world;
• Tech9 a technology company specializing in software engineering, architecture, management, and development;
• Tesani Capital a real estate investment firm
• TIG Tesani Insurance Group provides a broad of commercial, employee benefits, personal lines and specialty insurance solutions.

Tesani has created a new corporate Senior Accountant position to build help oversee our accounting / finance processes. A good fit would be a self-starting, self-accountable individual with the ability to be very detailed oriented and a drive to hit deadlines.

Location : Provo, Utah

What you’ll do :

• Prepare and analyze financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement)
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP)
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and potential areas for improvement
• Provide financial forecasts and projections
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
• Monitor budget variances and report significant discrepancies
• Assist in the coordination of external audits
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations
• Maintain documentation and support for audits
• Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures
• Implement best practices for financial operations to minimize risk
• Utilize accounting software to manage financial transactions (e.g. QuickBooks)
• Recommend improvements to financial systems for efficiency and effectiveness
• Prepare and review tax returns (income tax, sales tax, property tax)
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements
• Provide input into strategic planning and decision-making processes
• Assess financial performance against key business metrics
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff
• Communicate financial information effectively to management and stakeholders

What you need to get the job done : (minimum qualifications)

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting
• At least four years of related experience multi-entity, financial services, technology industries are a plus
• A professional, team player
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and QuickBooks experience
• Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
• Must be detail oriented with ability to analyze data ensuring quality and accuracy
• Critical thinking skills with ability to research and solve problems
