Legal Recruiter with LHH Recruitment Solutions
LHH is looking for a Legal Assistant – Personal Injury (Plaintiff) for a law firm in Chicago. This will potentially be hybrid once settled into the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain a complex caseload as the primary support to the assigned attorney
- Track and manage multiple court-mandated deadlines and cutoff dates
- Organize, prepare, and retrieve case files and documents
- Act as a liaison between clients and attorneys, ensuring a positive and supportive client experience
- Electronically file motions, orders, and other court documents
- Schedule depositions, court appearances, client meetings, mediations, and calls
- Draft correspondence, court instructions, and communications with opposing counsel
- Docket orders and track important case-related dates
- Negotiate medical bills and subrogation liens on behalf of clients
- Handle all incoming and outgoing checks and documentation
- Identify and escalate urgent issues to the attorney in a timely manner
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the attorney or leadership team
