Job Description
We are looking for a Labor and Employment Attorney / Lawyer for an ongoing contract. The successful candidate will work closely with various teams to provide advice, counsel, and legal support related to employment and human resources matters in a corporate setting.
This role also involves managing non-litigated employment disputes and litigation employment disputes.
Responsibilities :
- Provide advice and counsel on employment and human resources matters
- Work closely with human resources and business colleagues to manage legal needs and requests
- Manage and support internal investigations related to employment and human resources issues
- Provide support to contracting teams related to employment, staffing, consulting, and related contracting
- Manage non-litigated employment disputes independently or with outside counsel
- Direct strategies for litigation employment disputes with outside counsel
- Assist in the development and amendment of human resources related policies and procedures
- Provide support and advice on labor matters
- Identify opportunities for business improvement and support or lead initiatives to implement such improvements.
- Must be knowledgeable in Labor and Employment Law
- Proficient in using Adobe Acrobat and Document Management software
- Familiarity with 3M systems and processes
- Expertise in Case Management Software and Conveyancer
- Ability to handle Briefing, Civil Litigation, Claim Administration, and Complaint Handling processes
- Experience in Consumer Electronics industry is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Detail-oriented with high level of accuracy
- Exceptional problem-solving skills
- Must be an active member of the local State Bar
- Ability to maintain client confidentiality
- Excellent research and analytical skills.
