Overview :

The ideal candidate for this position is self-motivated, self-disciplined, and able to work independently. Strong interpersonal and writing skills are critical.

The candidate will perform a variety of engineering work including, but not limited to, initial planning, design phases, and construction support of substation projects.

Ability to manage the civil / structural aspect of substation projects with little oversight. Performs other duties as required.

Responsibilities :

  • Perform as structural engineering responsible for execution of structural calculations and design on a multi-discipline team of engineers executing complex engineering projects for clients in the utility, renewable, and oil & gas industries.
  • Coordinate with structural designers in creation and development of construction drawings.
  • May be responsible for multiple projects simultaneously

Qualifications :

  • Minimum of Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or similar / related field, from an accredited school or University is required.
  • Minimum 2 years structural engineering experience in utility industry.
  • Must have excellent oral / written communication skills and ability to work well in teams
  • Ability to apply analytical or scientific thinking to define and solve problems and be able to execute field and office tasks
  • Experience with Risa3D, RisaFoundation, MathCad, Math3D, SAP2000, STAAD, AutoCAD, LPile, Microsoft Office, Excel, etc.
  • Experience using applicable codes and standards (ACI, AISC, ASCE, ASTM, ANSI, API, IBC, OSHA, PIP etc.)
  • Strong attention to details
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate

Compensation : In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition.

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation : Employee may be eligible for participation in the Companys annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
