We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to oversee the end-to-end process of 4 / 5 axis machining, from workholding selection and design through to CAM programming, simulation, and part launch. This role involves close collaboration with the Quality Control department on inspection processes and providing shop floor support during production startup.
Key Responsibilities :
- Select and design workholding solutions for complex and challenging parts.
- Develop and optimize CAM programming for simultaneous 5-axis milling, including simulation.
- Collaborate with the QC department to establish and refine inspection processes.
- Provide technical support and guidance to shop floor personnel during part launches.
Qualifications :
Proficiency in Mastercam for simultaneous 5-axis milling.Extensive experience designing complex workholding solutions.Deep knowledge of modern cutting tools and toolholding systems.Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T.Experience working with hard metals.Strong mathematical skills.Familiarity with Vericut (preferred but not required).Experience with SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software (preferred).Mill / turn experience is a plus.J-18808-Ljbffr
