We are currently recruiting a hands-on Controller that will be responsible for coordinating all finance and accounting activities at our Windsor, NJ location.
The ideal candidate will have experience preparing, analyzing, and explaining financial reports in a manufacturing environment and have hands-on experience with full cycle accounting including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, account reconciliations, general ledger, and month-end closings.
The Controller will work closely with site leadership to provide insight into the financial operations of the business and ensure all business needs are met from a financial perspective.
This position currently does not have any direct reports.
Responsibilities :
Prepare a monthly Financial Reporting Package and Operations Deck covering a detailed P&L with variance explanations, capital spending details, and other financial and operational KPI’s
Hands on involvement of all general accounting functions
Preparation of month-end and year-end close process for the site including journal entries, reconciliations and financial statements
Filing all statutory reporting, sales and use tax and other tax returns
Preparation of daily and weekly performance reports and operational metrics for distribution to management
Process all billing and accounts payable (disbursements centralized off site)
Maintain Fixed Asset register and track capital spending
Monitoring the internal control environment
Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent in accounting / finance
7+ years of accounting experience and at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment
Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office software
Experience with general ledger packages of integrated ERP systems
