If so, we want you! ABOUT THE ROLE The Executive Director oversees and directs the day-to-day functions and efficient operations of the community and all company policies and procedures.
This role also ensures the highest quality of service for residents, while maintaining the community’s financial stability, and creating a harmonious working environment for all team members.
- Essential Job Duties : Oversee, plan, develop, organize, implement, manage, control, and direct all of the day-to-day functions and operations of the community including consulting with department directors on the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures, establishing rapport in and among departments to demonstrate, encourage, and promote a spirit of teamwork and cooperation amongst team members, identifying and developing plan of corrections of problem areas to improve service to residents by appointing, delegating, and consulting with department directors to assist in correcting problem areas and improving service to residents, ensuring residents are able to attend activities and community programs / events as desired and arranging for transportation as necessary, and conducting surveys and exit interviews to determine satisfaction levels and areas for improvementCollaborate with the Director of Sales to promote and market the community within the local community by implementing referral and other programs to help reach and / or exceed resident occupancy goalsResponsible for overseeing all operations, finances, and reporting including approving all expenditures against budgets and maintaining complete financial records including billing and accounts receivable and ensuring management team complies with all policies and procedures and maintains any required continuing education requirementsOversee proper physical community maintenance within the community by ensuring that it is a safe and secure environment for all residents, guests, visitors, and team members including ensuring compliance with OSHA requirements, established safety policies, practices and plans, and closely managing all workers’ compensation injuries, investigations, or safety complaintsRecruit, hire, evaluate, motivate, and monitor team members and their performance by scheduling and managing community staff in the best interest of the residents, and in accordance with company policies including ensuring team member performance evaluations, merit pay rate / increases, disciplinary actions, and separations are conducted fairly, consistently, and in compliance with company policiesArrange for coverage of department head duties during absences through delegation or personal completion, appointing and training a Manager on Duty for those for those times the Executive Director is not at the communityRepresent the community with a positive and professional image, through dress and behaviors including interacting with outside agencies, community representatives, and family membersParticipate in surveys and respond to inquiries or develop plan of correctionSurvey residents to determine their satisfaction levels and make corrections as necessaryDevelop, implement, manage and track budgetary spending and goalsLook for ways to reduce costs and create efficiencies on a daily basisComply with the company’s standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient community operationsRepresent the company’s mission, vision, and values on a daily basisDisplay a positive and professional image through actions and maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform or clothing and name tag when workingPerform other duties and tasks as assigned or requiredRequirements : 8+ years of experience functioning in a leadership role in hospitality, senior living, healthcare, and / or related industry requiredHigh School Diploma or GED required;
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, nursing, human services, or related preferredAbility to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours and be available to residents at peak service times and daysAbility and willingness to drive the community vehicle(s);
must possess a valid driver’s license issued in the state of residenceStrong organizational, time management, and planning skillsAbility to deal tactfully and professionally at all times with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general publicExcellent verbal and written English communication skills including the ability to speak in front of small groups of peopleAbility to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action and to remain calm during emergency situationsReasoning skills that include the ability to understand issues and process information for giving and receiving feedback and instructionsAbility to promote a positive and friendly teamwork attitude in the execution of all dutiesProficiency with the use of a PC and other office equipment (e.
g. scanners, copiers, fax machines, etc.) as well as have familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
