Job Overview :

The Business Development Manager will be accountable for identifying and delivering new business opportunities for T-Mobile, specifically related to providing accessible communication solutions, including but not limited to telecommunications relay services.

This candidate needs to demonstrate knowledge in available technologies to support the development and maintenance of these products.

This position includes emphasis in the following areas : 1) Analyze business opportunities, assesses potential markets, and develop projects for use in new business initiatives;

2) Create, evaluate, and modify evolving accessible products and services; and 3) Assist in developing accessible design concept and implementation, providing input on user design considerations.

Job Responsibilities :

Structure and drive strategic partnerships and new business relationships including development of key economic, business, and operational terms;

negotiate and execute contracts with these partnerships; and manage their evolution.

  • Scout, identify and / or build new business opportunities and partnerships internally and externally : a) identify and analyze complex market / business opportunities, b) evaluate key players and technologies, c) assess customer and market opportunities, d) develop differentiated product / service strategies, e) create potential economic / financial / business models, f) make recommendations, g) develop business relationships to create new strategic partners, and h) drive projects to completion.
  • Manage senior-level relationships with internal and external partners and with key players in the mobile and accessibility industry both in established and emerging segments and ecosystems.
  • Develop deep domain expertise in sectors vital to T-Mobile’s core strategy. Provide strategic analysis and guidance (economic / financial, customer and market opportunities, key players and technologies, potential business models, T-Mobile fit, etc.

Education :

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Product Development, or related field (Required)

Work Experience :

4-7 years of Business development, alliance management, agile product / project management, and / or strategic sales experience with financial / economic analysis preferably in accessibility, consumer-focused wireless, high-tech (software, internet / new media, entertainment / content, etc.

or consumer electronics industries (Required)

Experience in the accessibility industry, focusing on creating solutions that improve the quality of life for people with disabilities is preferred.

Additionally, a background in consumer-focused wireless technologies, high-tech (such as software, internet / new media, entertainment / content) or consumer electronics is critical.

The candidate should demonstrate the ability to drive growth and innovation through strategic partnerships and emerging technologies.

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range.

Washington Pay Range : $113,000.00 - $152,800.00The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed.

The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role.

Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and / or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.

Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and / or team performance, while Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives.
