Dispatcher / Emergency Medical Dispatcher
- Promptly answers all incoming emergency and non-emergency calls, collects pertinent information from the caller, determines and assign the level of priority of calls, enters the required information into the Computer Aided Dispatch System.
- Maintains professional telecommunication contact with facilities, field staff, patients and / or their families, and other agencies to communicate activities of personnel, enlist services of other agencies, or provide alternative directions to on scene personnel.
- Dispatches appropriate crews to transport patients originating out of various locations.
- Follow and update the crew's status during transports.
Requirements :
- Excellent leader skills.
- Has used Zoll software and understands it
- Dispatch experience required.
- Positive attitude and outstanding customer service.
- Dependable and punctual
- An understanding of how patients are transported by ambulance / wheelchair van, common issues which arise during transport, and functions of healthcare facilities.
