The claims analyst will mitigate and manage claims expenses to Oak Harbor and work to ensure customers satisfaction when customer shipments are damaged or lost.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Receive, investigate, and process cargo claims per OAKH Policy and Federal Statute
- Maintain accurate claims files.
- Print / Scan claims from the Claims Email Inbox .
- Assist and educate Internal / External Customers regarding claims processes.
- Answer status calls regarding claims and provide customer support during the claims process to ensure positive experience for our customers.
- Assist with Salvage / OSD requests.
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications :
- Must have either Transportation (Freight) and / or Claims Investigation experience.
- Basic knowledge of NMFC rules and regulations in an LTL environment preferred.
- 1+ year experience in claims in an LTL environment preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to think critically.
- Ability to work successfully with internal / customers to resolve issues / claims.
- Strong PC proficiency and experience using MS Office products.
- AS400 experience preferred but not required.
- diploma or GED / equivalent required.
