GENERAL SUMMARY : Provide support to the US Naval Fleet in Norfolk, VA.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :

Assembles / disassembles mechanical components, equipment and machinery. Applies knowledge of engineering principles to repair / install engine components, instruments, controls, machines, etc.

Skilled in using precision measuring instruments.

Position Requirements

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Minimum of 3-6 years of experience in mechanical / equipment installations; or completion of a formal related course of study through either a community college, technical or trade school, military training, formal company training program or an apprenticeship program.
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, written technical instructions and manuals, and lead and supervise their implementation.
  • Must be able to supervise and direct a small installation team (3-10 personnel) with minimal guidance.
