Summary :
We are currently looking for a highly motivated individual seeking a rewarding career opportunity with a growing leader in the industry.
Looking for an experienced injection mold designer to join our talented team. Mold Designer creates robust injection mold designs that consider customer standards along with manufacturing best practices.
Nature of assignments, duties, and responsibilities : Review customer data for tooling feasibility and propose design solutions.
Model mold design and create fully tolerance 2D manufacturing prints.Confer with shop personnel on manufacturing plansHold internal and external mold design reviewsMentor Junior level design engineersWork with suppliers to procure hardware and custom components.
Check peer mold designsSupport mold trials and mechanical debuggingSupport estimating as neededOther duties as assigned by managerRequirements :
8+ years of experience in injection mold designClass 101+ & 101 high cavitation design experience is a plusStrong understanding of design for manufacturabilityApplication experience specifying steels and coatingsAbility to understand and incorporate customer standards / specifications into a mold design.
Ability to work in a steady professional manner with little or no supervision required.Ability to work in a team environment and participate in engineering reviews.
Detail orientated.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Good MS Office skills.Creo experience is a plusMold Flow experience is a plusPrior estimating experience is a plusHigh cavitation mold design is a plus
