The Financial Operations Data Analyst is primarily responsible for providing data analysis via data visualizations. This role uses SQL and other programming languages to query, summarize, and analyze key metrics and develop data visualizations through Tableau for the Financial Operations Group (FOG) in support of and YouVersion.

This position ensures data integrity and provides technical support and maintenance across all Financial Operations Group Systems.

The Finance Team partners with the organization to facilitate the financial reporting needs of , including payroll, accounts payable, giving operations, accounting, forecasting, and data analytics.

We equip the organization with the tools needed to plan for, understand, and steward the resources God has provided for our ministry.

The Financial Data Analyst acts as an advocate and vital technical resource for all FOG teams through implementing new processes and maintaining operational integrity in partnership with both internal departments and external service providers or vendors.

This role provides data solutions that equip teams and ministries to further the ’s mission and to reach people for Christ.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform investigative analysis with FOG data residing in MSSQL and BigQuery.
  • Develop new, reinvent existing, add features to, and optimize data structure for new and existing data analytics in Tableau.
  • Develop reports and dashboards that answer business operation questions submitted by FOG team leaders, Financial Operations Group Leader, or Directional Leadership.
  • Manage and ensure the functionality of key systems used by the Finance team (RockRMS, Coupa, Sage Intacct, Tableau, etc.).
  • Provide internal technical support and act as the main point of contact for external contact support.
  • Develop and train team on process improvement initiatives to drive efficiency.
  • Properly document system processes and procedures to ensure successful knowledge transfer.

Skills Needed to Succeed

  • SQL, Python, or other related programming language skills and experience.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to maintain relationships and partnerships.
  • Maintain a systematic and organized approach to completing assignments accurately, thoroughly, and timely.
  • Clearly explain complicated and detailed processes in a concise and simple way.
  • Ability to self-motivate, take initiative, make independent decisions, and problem-solve.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment and work independently.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 years of related work experience.
