Spotter/Heavy Equipment Operator Landfill

Spotter / Heavy Equipment Operator : MUST HAVE DOZER AND EXCAVATOR EXPERIENCE

General Description : Operates heavy equipment utilized in the moving, covering and compacting of waste deposited into the landfill.

Maintains road allowing easy access in and out of landfill sites; keeps landfill and surrounding area and Road leading to the landfill, clean and free of debris.

Experience & Skills Requirements :

• Must have EXTENSIVE heavy-duty equipment operator experience such as Excavator, Bulldozer, and Front Loader Tractor
• Must be able to understand and adhere to the safety requirements of this position
• Certification in Landfill a considerable plus
• Bulldozer operated to fine grade a 3-1 slope
• Excavator experience such as digging retention ponds, equipment used for extensive site work or development
• Able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience running heavy equipment
• Must be able to work with others in a team environment
• Able to read a set of site drawings
• 18 years or older Hazardous Occupation
• Physical labor required throughout the entire shift (Requires physical strength and effort, with or without tools or machines.

Involves using muscles to complete tasks like lifting heavy objects, digging, or carrying things.)

Ability to work in all weather conditions
