JOB SUMMARY
The RN Supervisor-Unit provides leadership and management for unit operations as well as clinical and financial performance, in collaboration with the staff and leadership.
This individual plans, directs, coordinates and evaluates patient care activities and services to promote clinical excellence and program growth and development.
The RN Supervisor-Unit serves as a leader and role model for staff and is an active participant in organizational and nursing department decision-making.
The skills and functions of the Supervisor are both managerial as well as clinical nursing practice based.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Minimum Required : Diploma or associate degree in nursing.
Preferred / Optional : Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required : Two years’ experience in medical or nursing related field. Demonstrated Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrated leadership abilities. Written and verbal communication skills.

CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES
Minimum Required : State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse license or Nurse Compact License. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.
Preferred / Optional : Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
