Civil Design Technician, AutoCad

We seek a detail-oriented and motivated Civil Design Technician to join our dynamic engineering team serving rural, underserved communities.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of civil design principles, proficiency in AutoCAD, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers and engineers.

You will play a crucial role in designing and drafting civil engineering plans.

Civil Design Technician Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and prepare detailed civil engineering drawings and plans using AutoCAD and other design software.
• Assist in designing and laying out infrastructure projects, including roads, drainage systems, water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, and site grading plans.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to interpret design requirements and specifications.
• Review and revise design documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards and company design standards.
• Provide technical support during project planning, implementation, and construction phases.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to discussions on design and project development.
• Lead, or have the ability to grow into leading, the company’s AutoCAD design standards, methods, and procedures and communicate to all of the company’s AutoCAD users.

Qualifications :

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Civil Design Technician or similar role, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Familiarity with civil engineering principles, standards, and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Certification or licensure as an Autodesk Certified Professional in AutoCAD or equivalent
• Experience with GIS software and other relevant engineering tools.

Salary Range : $65,000 to $90,000, based on relevant experience
