A growing organization located in the Greater Philadelphia Area is immediately seeking a Junior Accountant reporting to the Accounting Manager.
This Junior Accountant will gain exposure to general operational accounting including but not limited to the following :
- Processing and posting of accounts payable
- Tracking of timesheets and processing of payroll
- Processing and posting of accounts receivable
- Performing bank account reconciliations, and assisting with general ledger reconciliations
- Producing financial reports, including financial statement preparation for the month end close
- Liaising with various teams as needed
- Additional duties may be assigned as requested by your manager.
The ideal Junior Accountant will meet the following requirements :
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
- An understanding of and exposure to general operational accounting
- Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Excel (formulas, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs)
- Any exposure to accounting / general ledger software packages is preferred
- Strong attention to detail, mathematical accuracy, and communication skills
- This person should be able to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
- The ability to prioritize tasks, work efficiently, and have a sense of urgency
