Lead - Senior Enterprise Applications

Job Description :

Reporting to the IT Center of Expertise Manager and leading a team of contractors, the Enterprise Applications Lead is a key technical expert focused on the support, maintenance and enhancement of our enterprise applications ecosystem with focus on SAP S4 / HANA among others enterprise and mining applications.

This role requires a deep expertise of SAP S4 / HANA functionalities and the capacity to coordinate cross-functional actions that involve EPM, HR, EHS applications.

The position objective is to ensure optimal performance of applications and alignment with business requirements as well as support IT projects

The Day to Day :

Application Support :

• Provide advanced technical support for SAP S4 / HANA and other key enterprise applications (e.g. OneStream, Workday, Isometrix) resolving complex issues and ensuring system reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with third-party system integrators and AMS providers to implement new FRICEW items, resolve incidents, and analyze proposed improvements or changes, utilizing SSR’s ticketing system.

Ensure all tickets are thoroughly documented, solutions are delivered in a timely manner, and the IT change management process is strictly followed.

• Oversee enterprise application upgrade and patching projects led by our AMS partner, ensuring smooth execution with minimal disruption to business operations.
• Ensure the development and maintenance of comprehensive systems documentation and application knowledge bases, including business standard operating procedures, functional design specifications, process flows, and test cases.

Business Support :

Partner with business users to gather requirements and develop tailored solutions within the Enterprise Applications landscape.

Proactively recommend operational enhancements or innovative approaches to resolve technical and process challenges, ensuring alignment with business goals.

Conduct training sessions for users and IT staff on SAP S4 / HANA and other system’s functionalities and best practices

Project Support :

Assist in the development of the Project Road map, including enhancements, new functionalities, upgrades and emerging technologies.

Leading the design of FRICEW (forms, reports, interfaces, configuration, enhancements, and workflows) items and conversion programs within the enterprise apps ecosystem.

Leadership :

• Oversee SAP support activities by proactively assisting, couching and mentoring senior analysts.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team, encouraging collaboration, knowledge sharing, and skill development to elevate the team's performance and technical expertise.
• Lead team meetings and one-on-one sessions to review progress, set goals, and provide constructive feedback, ensuring alignment with department objectives and business priorities.

Is This You?

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3-5+ years of functional / configuration experience in SAP S / 4 HANA.
• 5+ years leading SAP applications support organizations / helpdesks
• Proven experience managing Application Management Services (AMS) provider and external parties.
• Solid working knowledge of application lifecycle management methodology, IT General controls and ITIL Framework
• Expertise in analyzing business processes and requirements, creating system specifications, developing test scripts, and implementing business solutions utilizing SAP and other technologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with business and IT teams.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Previous experience in mining, other asset-intensive industries, manufacturing, supporting with day-to-day ERP system processes desired but not mandatory.
• Good working knowledge of EPM, HR, EH&S, ESG Systems (knowledge of OneStream, Workday, Isometrix and Workiva is a plus) is an asset.
• Solid understanding of SAP best practices is an asset. Mining industry experience is an asset.
• CSM, CSPO, PMP, Agile Business Analyst certification or in progress is an asset.

For applicants residing in CO, the salary range for this role is from $110,000-$140,000.
