The Operations Engineering Technician’s function is to oversee the life cycle performance and identify the condition of all build and natural infrastructure assets.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Job Functions :
- Responsible for HVAC Sub-AMP, HVAC programs and requirements.
- Identify and accurately document current facility and equipment conditions and deficiencies.
- Recommend actions for correcting all deficiencies, including cost estimates as well as recommended improvements.
- Develop and maintain a process to analyze electrical consumption to determine the need for demand management analysis and corrective measures.
- Incorporate pre-existing Facility Condition Assessment Data.
- Provide timely and detailed reports and accurate data sheets for each facility / asset.
- Use appropriate mobile technology to document components encountered during assessments and provide justification for determination of the physical condition.
- Ensure asset condition data (e.g., facility condition data, pavement condition data, RPIE condition data) collected in authorized IT system (e.
g., IWIMS, ACERP, ACESPM, BUILDER, NexGen) or other approved tool (e.g., S-File, A-File, I-File) and visible for activity assets.
- Review SOW, contract specifications, RFPs, for facilities electrical construction / repair projects to ensure the government receives mission capable, high performing warrantied products.
- Perform assessments of government facilities using professional expertise and judgment to determine physical condition and conformance with specifications and building codes.
- Organize and file hard copy and electronic folders and documents.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Mandatory :
- Minimum ten years’ experience as HVAC Technician.
- Experience with maintenance, repair and engineering facility experience related to the specific Activity Management Plan (AMP).
- Completion of WMGT 417 and 231 and WENG 200 training courses.
- Must have experience using Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be able to acquire and maintain a Secret Security clearance.
- Ability to acquire and maintain government identification / common access card.
- Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
- Valid state Driver’s License with acceptable driving record pertinent to the position.
- Ability to successfully pass any background checks and / or drug testing required on the contract.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain access to U.S. Government Installations through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS).
