Senior Fund Operations Analyst / Manager Fund Operations

Our client, a venture capital firm located in San Francisco, is seeking a Finance and Operations Specialist. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the Director of Finance and Operations and the Finance and Operations Manager.

The position involves a broad range of responsibilities including accounting, finance, budgeting, operations, investor relations, valuations, and compliance.

This is a hybrid role, with the team working in the office three days a week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday).

Responsibilities :

• Oversee and manage the general ledger and financial records of assigned entities.
• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheets.
• Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
• Ensure accurate and timely capital calls and distribution notices.
• Review, audit, and approve work of fund administrators.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting regulations and standards.
• Provide detailed analysis of financial performance to management and clients.
• Support external audits and tax filings, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and systems.

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in asset management accounting from fund administration, audit, tax, or industry
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
