The Translational Immuno-Informatics Laboratory is seeking a passionate project manager to join their team. The primary research of this lab focuses on mechanisms of immune exclusion within the tumor microenvironment and resistance to immunotherapy in patients.
This lab has a dual emphasis of cutting-edge immuno-oncology experimentation as well as data-driven computational / omics approaches.
Ideal candidates will have prior experience in project coordination and / or management as well as prior knowledge of scientific concepts and a passion to learn.
Job Description : Manages all aspects of several clinical and translational research projects and oversee all aspects of the project lifecycle.
Provides leadership, technical direction, coordination, and expertise across projects. Lead team and staff specific meetings, develop agendas, distribute minutes, track progress, and assign action items.
Analyzes progress and / or performance and prepares reports. Research and propose processes to increase group efficiency and implement new procedures.
Ensures compliance with budget, scope, timeline, and regulations. Coordinate submissions to the Institutional Review Board and Institutional Biosafety Committee under the direction of the Principal Investigators.
Liaise with internal and external collaborators and vendors. Coordinate data collection, sharing, and analysis as well as specimen acquisition.
Support research personnel through task organization and initiative direction. Monitor team expenditures and budget forecasting.
Coordinate trainings as appropriate across team.
This is a hybrid position with approximately 2-3 days a week in the laboratory.
Preferred Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related field, or RN with experience in clinical oncology.
Project coordination / management experience. Excitement for discovery and scientific learning mandatory. Ability to self-direct learning mandatory.
Clinical work experience. 2 years’ experience in clinical or translational research. Laboratory experience in a research setting preferred.

The ability to lead a team is essential. The ability to research, propose, and implement new procedures for the success of the lab is required.

Physical Effort
Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
