Pay Rate : $41,600.00 - $45,000.00 per year
Job Summary :
The Wire Transfer Specialist is responsible for processing both domestic and international wire transfers while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
This role requires taking ownership of wire transfer operations, including handling repair transfers, and providing excellent customer service.
It involves collaborating with other departments to resolve issues, maintaining accurate transaction records, and working with private banks.
Key Responsibilities :
- Process incoming and outgoing wire transfers accurately and efficiently, including handling repair wire transfers.
- Verify and validate wire transfer requests to ensure authenticity and compliance with bank policies (e.g., BEAK, ABA).
- Monitor wire transfer transactions for timely processing, addressing discrepancies as needed.
- Stay current with relevant regulations and industry standards (e.g., OFAC, AML).
- Communicate with clients and internal teams to resolve wire transfer-related issues.
- Take ownership of the wire transfer process, ensuring timely resolution of problems.
- Generate reports and maintain detailed records of transactions for audit purposes.
- Assist in training new staff on wire transfer processes and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with financial institutions and private banks to resolve processing issues.
- Multi-task across communication channels, help desk systems, and ticket management.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in wire transfers, banking, or financial services.
- Experience with private banks is a plus.
- Bilingual (English and another language) preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in transaction processing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in banking software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Skills :
- Knowledge of wire transfer regulations, compliance requirements, and fundamentals (e.g., BEAK, ABA).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Customer service-oriented, with a focus on client satisfaction.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with help desk systems and managing tickets.
