Our Trust & Safety team's commitment is to keep our online community safe. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.

It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content as part of the core role / as part of project / in response to escalation requests / by chance.

This may occur in the form of images, video, and text related to every-day life, but it can also include (but is not limited to) bullying;

hate speech; child safety; depictions of harm to self and others, and harm to animals.

A part of Trust and Safety Product, Integrity & Authenticity (I&A) is a small-but-mighty global team bringing together expertise of product managers and program managers into one group.

The mission of Integrity & Authenticity is to defend TikTok and TikTok users from issues of misinformation, disinformation and deceptive behavior.

We are looking for an experienced product manager lead to help expand our team's product work delivering this mission.

Responsibilities

1. Build and own roadmaps for one of the primary domains of TikTok Integrity & Authenticity (Elections Integrity, Misinformation, Information Ecosystem or related topics).

2. Define and organize the resourcing requirements to support the delivery of program roadmaps.

3. Work cross-functionally, building synergy and influence with multiple departments within Trust and Safety, Public Policy, Communications, Core Product and other teams, globally.

4. Collaborate across global product, program and regional safety teams to make product, technical, and privacy decisions.

5. Orchestrate end to end delivery of key products.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager
• Strong sense of logic and excellent critical thinking skills. Can clearly describe your vision, planning and executional challenges and lead coordination with other teams to co-solve problems in depth
• Evidence-based, analytical, data-informed. You like to use data to help identify problems, find opportunities, and drive continuous product improvement
• Your ability to work in a high tempo environment, adapt, respond to day-to-day challenges of the role.
• Your resilience and commitment to self-care to manage the emotional demands of the role.
• Global vision and empathy, passion, a drive to achieve, humility facing the depth of unknown.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience of working with international partners across different time zones and cultures
• Experience in Trust & Safety; Basic knowledge of safety by design principles
• Understanding of the landscape and new policy developments in the tech industry and online safety
• Prior experience managing products with safety-related success metrics highly desirable
• Prior experience managing products related to human and / or machine-based moderation to remove harmful content highly desirable
