Key Responsibilities :
- Memory Care Support : Provide direct care to residents with memory challenges, ensuring their dignity and enhancing their quality of life.
- Daily Assistance : Help with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, feeding, and providing emotional support.
- Monitoring and Documentation : Take vital signs and closely monitor residents’ conditions, especially those in memory care, documenting any changes.
- Safe and Structured Environment : Maintain a secure and calm environment tailored to the needs of memory care residents.
- Collaborative Care : Work alongside the healthcare team and families to ensure each resident's personalized care plan is followed.
- Engagement and Activity : Support residents in cognitive and emotional activities designed to enhance their well-being.
Qualifications :
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification : Certified in the state of Indiana.
- Experience in Memory Care : Experience or a strong interest in working with residents affected by memory impairments, such as dementia or Alzheimer’s.
- Compassionate and Patient : A caring nature with a focus on providing resident-centered care.
- Effective Communication Skills : Ability to communicate clearly with residents, families, and team members.
- Team-Oriented : Collaborative skills to work in a dynamic healthcare environment.
- Previous Experience : Experience in a skilled nursing or memory care setting is a plus.
