Job Description : About the Role :
About the Role :
The HR Generalist role at the Lancaster location provides Human Resources support to the Manufacturing plant, driving and supporting key initiatives to improve performance throughout the plant.
You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to :
- Conducts workplace investigations, provide guidance and recommendations for problem resolution to employees, supervisors, and management.
- Maintains a high level of visibility, accessibility, and interaction with all employees. Ensures high level of integrity is maintained and that personnel matters are handled in a professional, consistent, and confidential manner.
- Leads or assists with HR programs within assigned business areas, included but not limited to : EEO, unemployment, AAP, retention, termination, turnover, severance issues and initiatives for the people & talent pillar
- Performs full cycle recruiting for designated departments, including but not limited to : Job fairs, interviewing, background checks, offer letter generation, new employee orientation and other onboarding activities.
- Engagement in plant Continuous Improvement efforts including participation with Process Improvement Teams, safety and FSQ initiatives.
Important Details : This is a full-time role performed on-site. Normal day shift hours with occasional duties on other shifts.
About You :
You’ll fit right in if you have :
One to three years Human Resources experience in a unionized Manufacturing environment. Bachelor’s degree preferred or equal experience
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office applications, Workday and Kronos Systems, and ability to learn new systems quickly
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, union environment
- Excellent communication and written skills
- Ability to exercise good judgment and diplomacy in dealing with executives, staff members, clients, and visitors
