Job Summary
Responsible for analysis and reporting of data important to the decision-making process of St. Dominic Hospital.
Define data requirements, gather and validate information applying judgment and appropriate tests. Responsible for managing Visionware, the Hospital's productivity system.
This includes tracking standards and working with Department Managers to interpret reports. Responsible for managing Action, the Hospital's benchmarking system.
This includes reporting data quarterly and working with Department Managers to understand how they compare to other hospitals in our comparison group.
Responsible for maintaining the decision support data warehouse. Extract and compile data to explain fiscal phenomena to forecast market trends and to monitor product line performance.
Responsible for extraction of clinical, demographic, economic and statistical data from decision support systems for use in evaluations of productivity, profitability and performance.
Responsible for on-going financial analysis for St. Dominic Medical Associates. Responsible for performing financial analysis of various hospital product lines.
Performs limited internal audit and administrative functions as needed in Accounting, Medical Records, Business Office and Materials Management : Responsible for preparing monthly invoices to Select Specialty and Regency Hospital and managing the contracts with both LTACHs.
Responsible for the preparation of the annual Medicare cost report including overhead allocation
Prolonged periods of standing, walking, or sitting while on duty. Lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 10-15 pounds with or without assistance.
Visual and auditory acuity and manual dexterity essential to performing designated duties required. Ability to perform effectively in a stressful and fast paced environment.
Ability to pass all required health and other screening tests. Physical conditions are clean, neat and well lit. Maybe subjected to unpleasant sights and odors, stressful situations and hazardous or infectious agents where judgment as to precautions need to be taken is essential.
Climate control an ambient temperature variances may be experienced. Exposure to limited amounts of hazardous chemicals or substances and infectious disease processes are a possibility.
Hours of duty may be irregular or unexpectedly extended due to emergency circumstances. Direct contact with blood or other body fluids to which universal precautions apply.
Personal protective equipment is made available and must be worn.
Job Requirements
Baccalaureate degree in an accredited business or accounting program and three years of related analytical experience.
5-10 years Healthcare experience required. Must be proficient in the use of various computer software utilized in specific work area and must be accurate in recording information.
Basic office machine skills such as telephone, computer, fax, typewriter, copier and calculator are also required. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
