Who We Are
Established in 2013, Eugene-based Community Supported Shelters is a nonprofit organization that addresses homelessness by creating stable and safe communities that enable people to get off the street and begin the transition to a better life.
In our 11 years, we have sheltered about 1,000 individuals, with approximately 60% moving on to housing and more productive lives.
What We Do
We have developed durable, low-cost Conestoga-style huts that give clients safety and privacy. We host 143 huts across 14 Safe Spot Communities across Eugene.
Each site is an intentional community where people build a personal support network, practice respect for others, and gain responsibility by adhering to clear community rules.
CSS provides its clients with support and navigation services that empower them to stabilize and rebuild their lives.
