The purpose of the Assistant Branch Manager I is to support an environment that delivers an exceptional experience for both members and associates.
This role is directly responsible for the success of the branch by assisting the branch in meeting and exceeding member expectations and supporting a member-focused culture.
This includes guiding all aspects of branch operations, assisting with growth of deposits, loans, and service ratio of the branch.
A significant degree of creativity, data analysis and problem-solving skills are required to effectively provide solutions to member issues.
With moderate budgetary responsibilities, this role provides superior service, drives associate staffing & development plans, ensures compliance and credit union standard, drives internal branch growth and service and executes lobby engagement.
This position has very limited supervision of work and communicates, interacts and collaborates effectively to provide exceptional member service.
In addition, the ABM I, selects, trains, develops and completes performance appraisals and development plans for staff. The ABM I will also ensure compliance through the adherence of all credit union policies & procedures and accuracy of staffs work, demonstrates and fosters a consultative sales culture with members and staff, influences, educates and connects branch associates, partners, and members to technology.
This position may provide coverage, as needed for other departments and / or functions that are within the scope of this position.
EDUCATION :
General and business knowledge equivalent to an associate degree
EXPERIENCE :
1-3 years of total related experience in retail financial services

WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

Visually able to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading
Sufficient manual skill for operation of PC keyboard and other standard office equipment.

Ability to work extended evening and weekend hours and to travel to other locations to provide extended hours coverage
