COMPENSATION :
Hourly Pay : $32.48 This position is covered under the Teamster Mechanic Agreement
JOB SUMMARY :
General duties include responsible for the repair on all warehouse moving equipment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES :
- Repair, service and maintain all material handling equipment including electric and gas forklifts, transporters, tuggers, and electric and manual pallet jacks.
- Decision making and problem solving required
- Ability to troubleshoot and make repairs with minimal assistance
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must furnish basic tools
- Ability to deal effectively and professionally with all levels of individuals doing business from within and outside the Company
- Perform repairs in other shop departments as needed
REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS :
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must have a valid California Driver License with clear record
- Minimum of four (4) years of forklift maintenance and repair experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be available to work a flexible work schedule, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Experience with repairing and maintaining propane forklifts along with scrubbers
- Strong electrical troubleshoot experience with A / C, D / C, and current
- Strong knowledge and experience with hydraulic diagnostic
- Must furnish basic hand tools and roll-a-way toolbox
- Must pass a physical and pre-employment drug test
