Sentara Heart Hospital located on the campus of Sentara Norfolk General in Norfolk, Virginia is hiring a Registered Nurse - Unit Coordinator for the Cardiac Surgical IMCU!

Position requires 18 months of RN experience and a BSN.

Shift : Full Time Day Shift.

Department Overview :

• This unit 36 bed unit provides high acuity cardiac care for pre and post cardiac surgery patients to include : bypass surgery, cardiac valve repairs / replacements, thoracic surgery / lung diagnostics, and other cardiac based procedures and treatments.
• Dedicated to high quality care, patient outcomes, safety and teamwork is a standard of the staff
• Nurses handle 3-4 patients on this unit based on acuity level

Job Summary

Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department.

Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff.

Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.

Qualifications :
