PayPal, Inc. seeks Information Security Engineer 2 in Austin, TX
Job Duties :
- Design, implement and build resilient, configurable, and scalable backend API’s (Application Programming Interfaces) using object-oriented design principles and various software development tools.
- Write high quality code that meets the customer’s expectations and is quickly understood and easily supported and maintained by others.
- Implement next generation platform security products to enable PayPal's product development.
- Implement and test next generation AppSec products as part of SDLC.
- Perform quality code reviews to validate against secure coding guidelines.
- Build products, tools, and services from scratch, as well as evolving existing systems.
- Decompose business requirements and translate them into detailed design specifications and code.
- Implement automated test cases to support code and project requirements for use with our Continuous Integration (CI) pipeline.
- Become fiercely Agile, using Scrum to deliver features to production.
- Apply your technical expertise to guide the team in making intelligent and pragmatic design decisions.
- Nurture highly effective relationships with internal business partners.
- Help identify and develop ways to improve our team's efficiency.
- Support production issues, including independently completing root-cause analysis and diagnosis.
- Lead / conduct detailed code-reviews and provide feedback in a constructive manner.
- Mentor junior engineers and interns.
- Take lead on projects with little to no additional direction from engineering / product leadership.
Minimum Requirements : Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
