The Logistics Transportation Operation Planner will handledomestic and international transportation while optimizingoperations and provide satisfactory customer service andmaintaining data entry and reporting.
Responsibilities :
- Serve as the main contact forcustomer relations
- Support SOP / Work Instructionsmaintenance and ensure operational best practices in line withcustomer requirements as well as ensure operational SOP compliance
- Manage dailyoperations including booking tracking and tracing of cargo(FTL / LTL / AIR)
- Excellent customer service in allaspects from booking to cargo delivery on time
- Request for quotation withcarriers and negotiate the spot rates
- Manage coordinate and implementcosteffective operational solutions to continuously improveefficiency and enhance service levels and quality
- Communicate daily with customerscarriers and internal staff
- Maintain essential accountdocumentation with up to date informationand ensure that it is filled and stored to be readily accessible tothe team when / if needed Increase customer satisfaction and businessshare through regular contact
- Follow up any account issues andcommunicate / liaison with management to implement / drive solutions
- Analyze service andcost data for actions or recommendations for business improvement
- Report required forservice failure claim damage and any otherirregularities
- Accuracy of data entry intosystems
- Monitortrends and report changes tomanagement
Requirements / Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or GEDRequired; Bachelor Degree Preferred
- Years of experience in FTL / LTLTransportation dispatching or operations in logistics industryrequired
- Proficient in MS Office applications such asExcel / PowerPoint / Word / Outlook
- Selfmotivated and works well underpressure with minimalsupervision
- Highly organized with ability tomanage multiple shipments while paying close attention todetail
- Excellentanalytical and problemsolving skills
- Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills
- Strong customer service andnegotiating skills
- Appropriate phone and email mannerwith internal and external customers
- Experience with NAFTA / USMCA crossborder transportation preferred
- Warehouse and / or manufacturing knowledgepreferred
