Job Title : Back Office Assistant

Location : Laguna Hill, CA, 92653
Schedule : Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
Job Details :
Performs a variety of back office and clerical duties in support of the patient care activities, ensuring even patient flow and continuous communication with RN’s, employees and leaders.
Greets and assists patients, answers phones, schedules appointments, and escorts patients to room.
Collects and records patient vital signs (BP, TPR,height and weight), and promptly reports and unusual observations or changes in patient condition.
Assists physician with examination and procedures within the scope of their job.
Provides patients with information as directed.
Cleans exam room and instruments and maintains and organizes supplies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills :
Basic keyboarding skills at 35 WPM
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Offi ce Suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel
Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
Required :
High school graduate or equivalent
Graduate of Medical Assistant program or equivalent work experience
Minimum one (1) year previous medical back-office experience, preferably within an acute healthcare system environment
Preferred :
Associate or bachelor's degree in healthcare-related field
Certifications Required :
BLS certification
