We are currently seeking a Workstation Technician to join our dynamic team, supporting the RDT&E environment for our customer at NSWC Carderock Division in Bethesda, MD.
The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and performance of Windows workstations, including hardware and software installations.
In addition, the candidate will be required to :
- Assist in the support and configuration of Windows workstations and environments.
- Maintain Active Directory, including the creation and management of Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
- Create and manage user accounts, as well as install necessary hardware / software.
Requirements
- An active DoD Top Secret clearance is mandatory to start. The applicant may undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for classified information access.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in computer support-related infrastructure is required. The selected applicant must also be knowledgeable in patching Windows workstations using products such as Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and shall possess a general understanding of using Group Policy Objects to implement security requirements on Windows workstations.
- Must possess an IAT II 8140.03 baseline certification (one from the following list) :
- CompTIA Security+ Certificate
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Security Certificate
- CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) Certificate
- GIAC Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP) Certificate
- GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) Certificate
- ISC2 Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) Certificate
- EC-Council Certified Network Defender (CND) Certificate
- Must possess at least one of the following Operating System (Microsoft) certifications / trainings (Windows Server 2012;
Windows Server 2016; Windows Server 2022; Windows 10; Windows 11). All other trainings listed must be completed within 6-months of onboarding date and thereafter obtain the most current advanced level trainings.

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements.
The current salary range for this position will be $77,000 to $87,000 (annually).
