Oracle Government Defense and Intelligence (GDI) has an exciting opportunity for an Army Account Business Development (BD) Director to support the Department of Defense (DoD) BD team.
The Army Account BD Director is a senior individual contributor responsible for creating a multi-year Army business development plan, identifying those opportunities, and seeing through to award.
The Army BD Director will principally work with mission owners and program offices from the . Army and, as needed, other Department of Defense organizations such as Combatant Commands, Defense Agencies, other Services, and unique stakeholder organizations within the classified and unclassified DoD marketplace.
The Army BD Director will build and maintain relationships with Army organizations, supporting Systems Integrators (SIs,) and other capability providers, to position Oracle as a strategic partner and create a positive business environment.
This is a hybrid position, and the candidate will need to live in vicinity of Reston, VA

What You Will Do (Responsibilities) :
Business Development
Understand the Army market Understand the top Army initiatives, programs, and capability gaps related to Cloud, information technology, data management, artificial intelligence (AI) / machine learning (ML), and related areas;
know and have contacts within Army customer organizations, the partner ecosystem, and with key SIs; engage with mission owners, IT providers, acquisition officials and others during industry and customer-hosted events, meetings, experiments, and exercises.
- Lead BD for the Army market Understand the Oracle and GDI story, solutions, and technologies, with emphasis on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure;
- engage & coordinate with the GDI Army account team; lead the Army account team in creation and execution of strategic account plans and customer-focused engagement plans;
work with solutions architects to support the development of Oracle solutions that fill Army capability gaps; qualify opportunities, develop program bid strategies, and lead response to select Army Requests for Information or Proposals (RFI / RFP).
- Drive Adoption of Oracle Technology, with and through Industry Partners Lead executive capture & technology relationships;
- formulate go-to-market solutions that will allow partners to discriminate in the market and meet customer mission requirements with Oracle Cloud;
negotiate teaming arrangements, and lead GDI contributions to partner responses to Army RFIs / RFPs.
What You Will Bring (Basic Requirements) :
- Must have experience with Army organizations and operational practices related to operations, intelligence, information technology, and innovation
- Successful track record managing multiyear, multimillion dollar DoD business pipelines, to include forecasting, proposal development, and winning contracts
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 8-10++ years’ experience as a business development manager or similar function in the federal market space
- Excellent critical thinking, analytic, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work to meet deadlines (nights, weekends, and holidays, at times)
- Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information
- Ability to travel at least 20+% or as needed
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain an active TS / SCI clearance

US : Hiring Range : from $126,600 to $207,400 per annum. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 60 / 40 - 70 / 30.
