As the Pharmacist In Charge, you will be responsible for overseeing pharmacy operations and ensuring the pharmacy staff follow all the required federal laws, state laws, and accreditation standards.

- Works directly with VP of Pharmacy in achieving strategic pharmacy goals of increasing service line growth, efficiency, and patient experience.
- Manage day to day pharmacy operations, hiring, training, coaching, and supervising staff, performing administrative duties
- Provides operational leadership to CCS Medical’s pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
- Identifies opportunities to improve existing operational policies and procedures and develops new policies and procedures as necessary.
- Responsible for pharmacy compliance with rules and regulations of the State Boards of Pharmacy, accreditations, and other regulating agencies
- Responsible for compliance with clinical pharmacy controls as required by pharmacy vendor(s), including producing supporting documentation for ongoing oversight and annual audits.
- Assist with investigations, daily operational pharmacy duties, monitor training and work with training / compliance to ensure all training is up to date
- Facilitates pharmaceutical care services, medication utilization systems within assigned services and care areas to ensure drug utilization activities are aligned with patient care needs, evidenced based best practices and regulatory standards.
- Identifies, communicates, and escalates issues on a timely basis. Independently problem solves issues and implements appropriate solutions.
- Conduct patient file reviews to ensure completeness, accuracy and appropriateness.
- Maintain a balance of productivity, quality, and timeliness of job accountabilities.
- Participates in department self-audit procedures for on-going evaluation of services.
- Identifies and defines problems and opportunities within work area and attempts to resolve through appropriate channels.
- Conducts drug utilization review system checks to validate the drug file uploads are performing accurately
- Performs quarterly audits of generic substitution state requirements
- Is a member of the Continuous Quality Improvement Committee and Clinical Oversight Committee for pharmacy
- Follows corporate established policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and / or infection control standards

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or PharmD.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a pharmacist
- Current Pharmacy license in good standings to practice pharmacy in applicable state, and willing to obtain multiple licenses in other states.
- Required non-resident state pharmacist licensure within 18 months of assuming pharmacist in charge role.
- Postgraduate experience in direct patient care
- Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements

- Maintains a high degree of confidentiality at all times due to access to sensitive information
- Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements
- Knowledge of policies and regulations pertaining to the disbursement of pharmaceutical drugs
- Strong organizational and time management skills, including ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects and assignments in a fast-paced environment
