Purpose
As a member of the Human Resources (HR) team, you will lead recruitment efforts for University Housing and Dining (UHD) and serve as a primary liaison for applicants, the community, and hiring managers.
Utilize innovative strategies to source candidates for varied positions using resources such as community outreach, career fairs, LinkedIn, and Indeed to build a pipeline of talent for UHD.
Responsibilities
Responsible for managing and screening applications for various UHD positions in HRIS system. This includes attending intake calls, creating a matrix, recommending candidates for phone screen and interviews, scheduling interviews, reviewing and approving interview scores / feedback, and dispositioning candidates.
Coordinates pre-offer steps, including conducting reference checks and verification of employment to ensure UT compliance.
Reviews and drafts offer letters. Oversees and coordinates pre-onboarding process for benefit eligible hires. Advises managers and supervisors on HR processes and requirements for employment related matters.
Coordinates / Liaison with other campus departments. Responsible for creating assignments and new hires via HRIS system.
Monitor requisitions and assist in increasing applicant flow by sourcing candidates using a variety of search methods to build a robust candidate pipeline.
Assist with marketing and advertisement of open positions. Identify and source top talent utilizing various job boards. Assists applicants and new hires with completing and submitting required paperwork.
Proactively leads recruitment efforts to grow positive brand awareness in the communities we serve. Attend career fairs and hiring events.
Develop and provide regular recruiting activity reports.
Responsible for handling sensitive and secure documents appropriately. Ensures proper documentation is maintained in accordance with UT record retention policies.
Handles confidential, routine, and non-routine information. Manages collection of recurring employment documents and files.
Partners with Senior HR Coordinator on recruitment updates, communication, hiring manager updates, and candidate flow data.
Retrieves information from files when needed.
Provides top quality service at all times to internal and external customers. Partner with the Senior HR Coordinator and hiring managers to deliver a high-quality candidate experience.
Ensure consistent and positive representation of UHD on external communication. Uses initiative to resolve concerns independently and in a tactful manner.
Provide support to HR teammates and HR leadership. Act as TA Point Person when needed to monitor walk-ins with HR Support Services team.
Create and implement efficiencies that have a positive impact on customer service.
Provides administrative support functions for the HR office. Maintains monthly task lists, trackers, metrics, and deadlines.
Utilizes internal software and processes to complete tasks and communicate with coworkers.
Completes special projects, including disseminating information. Works independently and as a team on nonrecurring and ongoing projects.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Public Administration, or a related field.
Two or more years of experience in Human Resources Administration or related field.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Three or more years of experience in human resources administration.
Experience utilizing various job boards to source and recruit candidates.
Experience recruiting a high volume of applicants.
Demonstrated organization and prioritization skills.
Initiative in taking ownership of time-sensitive HR projects through successful completion.
Salary Range
$55,000+ depending on qualifications

Employment Eligibility :

Retirement Plan Eligibility :
The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
