Job Summary
The Manager - Projects, Systems and Processes will conduct project management, business process management, systems improvement, data analysis and reports to City Schools' Chief Operations Officer.
They will be responsible for successful planning, execution and delivery of projects that meet requirements for scope, cost, time, and quality.
They are responsible for redesigning and improving business processes and workflows. They must seek to improve processes through analysis of data, observation of process activities, and standardization of process activities and coordination of activities.
Essential Functions
- Plans activities, schedules, and assignments to meet project scope and requirements.
- Coordinates project activities until the final deliverable has been received and accepted.
- Anticipates problems and recommends solutions .
- Makes recommendations for the on time completion of project deliverables.
- Manages project team members.
- Proactively manages expectations with management, colleagues, users, vendors, and partners.
- Tracks and maintains required financial reports.
- Provides accurate and timely project reports.
- Analyzes measure and describes processes by process maps and measures of costs in labor, materials and time.
- Redesigns existing processes or creates new processes.
- Develops standard operating procedures.
- Creates system requirements and design specifications with minimal or moderate direction.
- Supports Facility, Maintenance and Operations in implementation of the Comprehensive Maintenance Plan.
- Develops and reports key performance indicators for Facility, Maintenance and Operations.
- Analyzes data and produce reports that communicate information from various data.
- Performs periodic reports and updates to the Comprehensive Maintenance Plans and Metrics.
- Performs and promotes all activities in compliance with equal employment and non- discrimination policies; follows federal laws, state laws, school board policies, and professional standards.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, management, engineering, or related field is required. Master's degree preferred. Degree (s) must be from an accredited college or institution.
- Minimum of 3 years, hands-on, technology and software experience.
- Minimum of 3 years project management experience.
- Minimum of 3 years business process management.
- Proficient in the use of programming languages preferred.
- Minimum two years experience with databases and SQL preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to gain acceptance by community, city and other higher profile executives as a trusted and valued member of City Schools.
- Excellent organizational skills with the proven ability to handle numerous priorities at the same time.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills that ensure effective coordination and team building throughout Operations.
- Proven ability to negotiate and influence business decisions and directions.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Proficient in MS Project is preferred.
- Proficient in process mapping software is preferred.
