POSITION SUMMARY : This position provides direct and indirect Occupational Therapy (OT) services to Adult and Adolescent Behavioral Health (BH) inpatients, assisting with treatment plans, assessments, documentation, consultations, and recommendations.

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION :
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) from an Accredited College or University
- State OTR license required
- Training in PMT and de-escalation techniques, as prescribed by ECHN, and certification within 6 months of hire
EXPERIENCE :
Experience in working with the chronic BH / psychiatric population preferred

- Computer competency with basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook
- Flexibility in approach to individualize treatment

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES : Evaluates patient's level of functioning, develops age-appropriate treatment plans, implements patient-specific treatment, communicates and coordinates patient's care, completes required documentation, provides supervision on group topics, collaborates in team meetings, responds to individualized and comprehensive service needs, increases visibility of Occupational Therapy services, demonstrates effective time management skills, and participates in Early Response and Dr. Strong codes.
