UH : Cancer Center Pharmacy- ( Full-Time, Day Shift )

The Clinical Pharmacist-Outpatient HDS provides pharmaceutical care services. Supervises pharmacy patient navigators, technicians, interns and students to ensure that the needs of neonatal, pediatric and adult patients are met.
Acts as a major source of drug information for the patient and other health professionals. Coordinates activities in the dispensing and shipping pharmacy work area as required.
Demonstrates flexibility and ability to work in pharmacy and clinic locations as needed. Works with a pediatric and adult population in age ranges from neonatal to geriatric, including patients with communication barriers and sensory impairments.
Rotates through pharmacist on-call responsibilities. Performs other duties as needed.
Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy required. Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy required. Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred.
Minimum one year of community pharmacy experience preferred. Active California Pharmacist License required. California Board of Pharmacy Primary License status is clear barring any restrictions.
Valid Driver’s License required at time of hire.
- Able to write legibly; assemble, troubleshoot and calibrate patient care equipment, and perform technical age-specific patient care activities as required;
- use computer and software programs necessary to the position. Use computer for essential job duties. Able to communicate effectively, and professionally with others, be assertive and consistent in following policies;
- work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure, collaborate with others; accept direction. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing and on the telephone;
- perform basic math functions essential to the position; think critically; organize and prioritize workload; manage multiple assignments effectively;
- work well under pressure, problem solve; recall information; pay close attention to detail; document legibly. Ability to hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with workplace;
see adequately to read computer screens, records, and written documents necessary to the position; discern temperature variances through touch.
