What We Do :
OhioMHAS operates regional psychiatric hospitals in six locations across the state that operate 365 / 24 / 7. Our specialized facilities provide short-term, intensive treatment to patients in both inpatient and community-supported environments.
We also deliver comprehensive care to patients committed through the criminal justice system.

What You'll Do :
- Serves as a member of the Cuyahoga County Intensive Treatment Team (ITT) reporting to the Team Administrator for supervision & LISW clinical supervision;
- act as primary service provider for at least four community ITT clients; assess client functional level in activities of daily living (ADL) focusing on strengths & needs;
- assist client in accessing community resources (e.g.; entitlements, housing, etc.); teaches & develops client independent living skills to maximum potential;
provides therapeutic interventions as assigned (e.g.; medication monitoring, crisis management, coping with symptoms, substance abuse, etc.).
- Participates in the development & implementation of treatment plans for clients; coordinates admission & completes mental health assessments;
- provide intervention with acute, more complex clients; handle cases containing numerous factors & problems & provides crisis intervention;
- develop & monitor behavioral plans; evaluate client progress towards goals; recommends service revisions as progress & needs determine;
complete quarterly updates & team progress notes; provide services as directed by client's Individual Service Plan (ISP).
Participate in process of establishing, implementing & directing social service programs & treatment system objectives; develop & design treatment intervention techniques & procedures;
evaluate & modify treatment systems to be responsive to client's progress & ability to change behavior.
Facilitate family involvement in client's support system as requested; respond to inquiries from client family members regarding services offered & provided by community treatment team;
encourages family involvement in supporting client goals through family contact, face-to-face & by phone; assist client in re-establishing family contact as requested.
- Complete required documentation in accordance with standards; document client's service in progress notes; log client's contact date, time & services provided;
- completes chart documentation (e.g.; intake assessments, service plans, etc.); attend required trainings, mandates, seminars & in-services;
practices good public relations techniques (e.g., friendly voice, helpful, professional & good attitude) when greeting & interacting with visitors & the community at large in order to increase customer satisfaction & other related duties.
Assist in miscellaneous Treatment Team duties, as assigned, to enhance client services (e.g.; provide support visits, as assigned, to ITT clients on weekends & evenings);
attend clinical staff meetings; report client's progress & needs.
- Assess client's financial resources in relationship to responsibilities, as requested; develop & assist client in developing spending budget for use of client resources;
- prioritize client's expenditures to meet basic needs; assist clients with paying monthly bills; work with team community support workers to ensure that client maintains their Medicaid certification & entitlements;
utilize Ohio Department of Mental Health & Addiction Services approved office productivity software, approved intra- & internet resources & information systems in an appropriate work related manner as specified in the NBH Personal Computer Usage Guidelines for Employees.

Qualifications
Requires current license as independent social worker (i.e., LISW) as issued by State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker & Marriage & Family Therapist Board in accordance with ORC 4757.27.
Pursuant to ORC 4757.41 (A)(5) any person engaging in social work or professional counseling as a civil service employee as defined in section 124.
01 of the Revised Code who has at least two years of service as of July 10, 2014 is exempt from current licensure as independent social worker (i.e. LISW) requirement.
